Dr. Myanell Orta
Co-Founder & Chiropractor
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Dr. Myanell Orta discovered the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care at just 12 years old. What began as a way to manage stress, recover from injuries faster, and maintain her health year-round soon became a lifelong passion. That passion led her to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in 2016.
Dr. Orta is also certified in Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP), a highly specialized and research-backed technique that focuses on correcting spinal alignment to improve posture, restore function, and enhance nervous system health.
After six years of serving patients in the Miami area, Dr. Orta and her husband opened Functional Spine Chiropractic & Rehab in Tampa, FL. Together, they specialize in corrective chiropractic care, helping patients achieve long-lasting results and live healthier, more active lives—naturally.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Orta is a proud mother of two energetic boys. She and her husband share not only a dedication to their family, but also a mission to improve the health and well-being of the Tampa community they call home. Dr. Orta loves her job and finds helping people find hope an extremely rewarding journey.
Dr. Victor Matias
Co-Founder & Chiropractor
Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Dr. Victor Matias discovered his love for baseball at just five years old—a passion he pursued all the way through college. His path to chiropractic care began in 2010, when a lower back injury during training sidelined him from the game. After seeking chiropractic treatment, he was amazed by how quickly he recovered—returning to the field in only two weeks. That experience not only restored his health, but also ignited a lifelong mission to help others heal through chiropractic care.
While attending chiropractic school, Dr. Matias met his future wife, and together they now have two energetic young boys. After four years of serving patients in Miami, FL, the couple opened their own clinic in Tampa, specializing in spinal rehabilitation and corrective care.
Dr. Matias is certified in Chiropractic BioPhysics®, the most researched and results-oriented spinal rehabilitation technique available. His approach combines advanced chiropractic methods with genuine compassion, empowering patients to restore function, improve posture, and live healthier, more active lives.
