Corrective Chiropractic
Chronic and Severe Pain Relief

At Functional Spine Chiropractic, led by Dr. Victor Matias and Dr. Myanell Orta, we are experts in “corrective chiropractic care” where we go beyond a quick adjustment and actually fix the structural issues that may be causing your severe and chronic pain.
Our chiropractors achieve this turnaround by restoring proper spinal alignment through various treatment plans, customized to your needs.
While traditional medicine may only see surgery as a solution, corrective chiropractic care can achieve the impossible and correct spinal issues through a very therapeutic, painless, and highly effective protocol that’s already been achieved by millions.
How is Corrective Care Different?
Corrective chiropractic care is not about quick fixes—it’s a focused, progressive approach aimed at realigning the spine and rebuilding your body’s foundational posture over time. Many patients arrive with spinal misalignments developed from poor posture, workplace strain, past injuries, or years of compensating for pain. These misalignments affect the body’s structure and put excessive pressure on nerves, joints, and muscles, leading to chronic discomfort and restricted movement.
Using detailed digital imaging and clinical analysis, Dr. Matias and Dr. Orta identify the exact deviations in spinal curves and posture. These high-resolution images allow for an accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plan. Every case is different, and no two spines respond the same way, so each patient receives a care plan built around their unique problems, lifestyle, and goals.

How long does correction take?
Every case is unique. While traditional chiropractic often requires visits as needed, corrective care requires you to come to the office for about 36 visits over the course of three months. It took your spine years to fail, so it will take a commitment to reverse the damage.
How safe is corrective care?
Chiropractic is a holistic approach to healthcare, where no harmful medications, iffy procedures, or surgery is used. This eliminates the concern about side-effects, adverse reactions, infections, and more. Performed by a licensed chiropractor, corrective care is 100% safe.
Why is Corrective Care so Popular?
Corrective chiropractic care has gained great popularity due to its painless and natural course of care. Many patients not only say goodbye to chronic pain, but see other seemingly unrelated symptoms such as asthma, hypertension, acid reflux disease and fatigue improve.

Our Process
Care begins with a thorough consultation, digital x-rays, and advanced posture analysis. These tools help Dr. Matias and Dr. Orta visualize the spinal curves in relation to where they should be for optimal function. Once this foundation is set, a personalized corrective care plan is developed, involving precise spinal adjustments, posture-focused exercises, traction, decompression, and other protocols that help reshape the spine over time.
Spinal traction is a key element of the corrective process. It uses controlled, targeted forces to gently guide the spine back toward its ideal alignment. When paired with neuromuscular re-education and therapeutic rehabilitation, spinal traction helps train the body to hold its corrections and move with greater ease. As posture improves, nerve interference decreases, leading to better mobility, enhanced nervous system communication, and a noticeable improvement in energy, strength, and flexibility.
